About the Blog

If philosophy is the practice of observing, noticing things, asking questions and seeking wisdom, then I guess this is a philosophy blog. Maybe an even better description is an applied philosophy blog, because the ultimate goal is not just to learn, but to put things into practice.

Purpose and Process

This blog has a dual purpose. The first is to be a place where I can organize and share ideas. The second is to try to attract like minded people who might share their ideas to help me build on the concepts further.

I'm a big fan of the Austin Kleon idea on learning in public:

"...Amateurs might lack formal training, but they’re all lifelong learners, and they make a point of learning in the open, so that others can learn from their failures and successes..."

In terms of ambition? I just do this for fun. I like to think and writing helps that. So here we are, why not pour yourself a beer and stay a while?
